Soysambu Conservancy one of the few privately-owned large-scale wildlife Conservancy was created as an entity to conserve the flora, fauna and scenery of Soysambu Ranch as part of the great rift valley ecosystem. It now supports a rich vegetation and birding life, while involved also in community development.
Located on Lake Elmenteita (within the “Kenya Lake System in the Great Rift Valley” World Heritage Site, a Ramsar Convention Wetlands Site and a Bird Life International -Important Bird and Biodiversity Area), Soysambu Conservancy is bordered by Lake Nakuru National Park on the west, Consisting of 48,000 acres of diverse ecological significance, Soysambu Conservancy is home to more than 450 bird species and It is home to colobus monkeys.
