Detailed Itinerary
DAY 1 NAIROBI
Our representatives will warmly meet you on arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport; transfer you to your city hotel where they will brief you on your safari arrangements. Enjoy overnight at the hotel where you are booked on bed and breakfast. Nairobi Serena Hotel or similar
Nairobi Serena Hotel
Situated in the heart of Nairobi, the extensive ground of Serena Hotel contains a fitness Centre and spa. Guests can relax in a sun lounger beside the outdoor pool, which is surrounded by palm trees.
The elegant and spacious rooms and suites are decorated with warm colours and wooden furniture. They are equipped with a TV, air-conditioning and a private bathroom. Free Wi-Fi is provided.
Day 2 –Nairobi to Masai Mara
You shall be transferred to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport for your schedule Air Kenya flight departing at around 1030hrs to arrive Masai Mara at around1110hrs. Upon arrival at the Mara Serena airstrip, you will be met by Our Representative who will transfer you to Mara Serena Safari Lodge for check in.
Mara Serena Safari Lodge
Perched on the saddle of a hill, the Mara Serena Safari Lodge has one of the most spectacular views imaginable across the vast plains, forests and rivers that make up the Maasai Mara – one of the world’s richest wildlife sanctuaries. It is on this very terrain that the annual migration takes place when millions of zebra, wildebeest and gazelle cross the plains below, on their way to the rich new grasses of the Serengeti. A spectacle that should be witnessed in one’s life time!
Designed to mirror a traditional Maasai village or “Manyatta”, all the guest rooms are located in individual domed huts grouped in a circular manner. The furnishings of each room have been inspired by traditional Maasai art and each one has a private balcony with views that stretch over the vast African landscape.
The lodge has recently undergone a refurbishment and new facilities in operation since July include a new reception, bar lounge, an arrival lobby area and a gift shop. A Serena Maisha Health Club and Spa featuring an exciting spa menu, steam, sauna and gymnasium is also now open – an opportunity to have an experience of tranquility and good health whilst on safari.
There is a swimming pool and the new terrace gives you an opportunity to enjoy the sweeping views of the of the expansive Maasai Mara plains.
At 1600hrs depart for an afternoon game viewing drive.

Day 3 –Masai Mara
Full day in the Mara with morning and afternoon game drives in the Reserve. Certainly, the most frequented game reserve in Kenya, Maasai Mara is a magnificent landscape of open plains bisected by the Mara River and its tributaries, and punctuated by marshes and forests. This 650 sq. kilometre reserve supports the highest density of game to be seen anywhere considering its size.

Day 4– Masai Mara – Serengeti National park
After breakfast you will be transferred to Mara Serena airstrip for your scheduled Air Kenya/Or any available flight departing at around 0800hrs to Migori Airstrip where you will be transferred by road to Isebania/Sirare boarder for the normal Customs and immigration clearance. After clearance you will be transferred to Tarime airstrip for your scheduled flight departing at 1100hrs to arrive at Seronera airstrip at around 1205hrs.
Met by your Safari driver guide and drive to the Lodge for lunch. At 1600hrs embark on evening game viewing drive.
Dinner and Overnight at Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge
Serengeti National park
Breakfast at leisure; later depart the Lodge with packed lunch for a full day game viewing drive into Serengeti National Park. Apart from the Selous, this is the largest of all the Parks in Tanzania, summed up as ‘one of the most unique areas in the world’. The Serengeti contains the largest remaining concentration of plains game in Africa, on a scale which has no parallel anywhere in the world.
Even during the height of the migration towards the Masai Mara, there is a huge concentration of plains game in the Reserve, mainly concentrated around the watering places, and with good chances also of seeing the predators at work.

Days 5/6 –Serengeti National park
Full days at Western Serengeti with morning and afternoon game viewing drive. The Serengeti covers 14,763 sq. km of endlessly rolling savannah plains, and is Tanzania’s first-established, largest and most famous park. Here, twice a year, propelled by the rains, 1.3 million wildebeest, 200,000 zebra and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelle gather to undertake an 800 km trek to new grazing lands.

Day 7 – Serengeti to Ngorongoro
After breakfast depart and drive to Ngorongoro with a brief stop at the Olduvai Gorge. Olduvai Gorge the ‘Crater of Mankind’ is world famous for the Archaeological discoveries made there by Dr. Louis Leakey and Mary Leakey.
Drive on climbing to an altitude of 8,000 feet. You continue to ascend to the exterior of the crater reaching its rim and here your first glimpse of what has often been referred to as the “Eighth wonder of the World.”
Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge
The Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge is built onto the rim of this amazing natural phenomenon, a stunning plant and local creeper covered stone lodge where guests co-exist in perfect harmony with the surrounding natural environment and wildlife. Lunch in the lodge followed by an afternoon at leisure

Day 8 – Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, descend to the floor of the crater for game viewing drives. Often described as the ‘Eighth’ wonder of the World, the Ngorongoro crater is so spectacular, a natural sanctuary for over 25,000 animals, including the black rhino. It is also a conservation area inhabited by the Masai tribe. Picnic lunch will be served at one of the designated picnic sites on the crater floor. As the sun sets on the western side of the crater rim, ascend and drive to the Lodge to arrive in time to refresh for dinner

Day 9 – Ngorongoro to Lake Manyara
After a leisure breakfast, 0800hrs depart Ngorongoro and drive to Lake Manyara to arrive in time for lunch at Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge
Enjoy magnificent views of the Lake from the comfort of your room or opt for a swim in the lodge’s swimming pool located on the cliff of the Great Rift Valley.
Lake Manyara Serena Lodge
Standing high on the edge of a towering escarpment with panoramic views over the glittering alkaline waters of Lake Manyara, Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge offers a unique blend of tranquility, wildlife discovery, and ornithological richness.
At 1600hrs, depart and drive to the nearby Lake Manyara National park for game viewing drive. The extraordinary birdlife and Tree climbing lions are but one of the lure. The place is world-renown amongst the ornithologists, who come to observe the masses of pink flamingos and great birds of prey

Day 10 –Tarangire National Park
After a leisure breakfast depart Lake Manyara with packed lunch and drive to Tarangire National Park for a full day game drive.
Tarangire National Park is a national park in Tanzania’s Manyara Region. The name of the park originates from the Tarangire River that crosses the park. The Tarangire River is the primary source of fresh water for wild animals in the Tarangire Ecosystem during the annual dry season. The Tarangire Ecosystem is defined by the long-distance migration of wildebeest and zebras. During the dry season thousands of animals concentrate in Tarangire National Park from the surrounding wet-season dispersal and calving areas.
After Game drives: We drive you to Burunge Tented Lodge which offers a unique blend of tranquility, wildlife discovery, and ornithological richness.

Day 11 –Tarangire to Kilimanjaro International Airport Via Arusha Town
After breakfast at Burunge Tented Lodge, we transfer you to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your home flight.
